Login & Account

Key points:

  • Login happens in your browser — it is the only login path. The app opens the VocalFlow login page; you enter your email and a verification code (no password exists), then authorize the app with one click and get bounced back automatically.
  • Your access token is stored in the macOS Keychain, never in a plain file.
  • The Overview page (main window home) shows today’s voice minutes and text output, a 7-day mini trend, and an account health row: login, voice balance, subscription, and current node — each capsule clicks through to the details.
  • The account page shows your voice/file transcription balances and subscription status. A low-balance warning appears during recording before you run out.
  • Automatic node selection: the app fetches the list of transcription nodes and picks the best one by availability and latency. If connecting fails, it transparently switches to the next-best node — the beginning of your speech is not lost. You can see node status in the menu bar and account page, and pin a specific node if you want.
