Personal Dictionary
The personal dictionary keeps proper nouns — product names, technical terms, people’s names — spelled and capitalized correctly, every time.
Key points:
- Term entries: add words the recognizer should know. Entries are injected into the recognition stage, so rare terms come out right instead of being guessed at.
- Forced replacements: define “wrong form → correct form” rules for corrections the recognizer keeps getting wrong. Rules apply whenever the wrong form appears.
- Dictionary entries take effect for all transcription, with no per-session setup.
- Manual server sync: the dictionary page can sync your entries to the server with a merge (local entries are merged in, then the full set is pulled back; deletions propagate). This lets you recover your dictionary on a new Mac. Sync is manual — nothing is uploaded unless you press the button.
